IT'S NEW AND IT'S HERE! OUR NEW BOOK!
Introduction page excerpt:
Have you ever heard the saying, “The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak?” Believe it or not this was spoken by the Apostle Paul around 39 AD. While Paul may have been speaking about spiritual matters it is clear to see that the challenges he was contending with sounds a lot like the challenges many people face in mastering a disciplined lifestyle in health and fitness. So what is it? What makes this so hard to achieve? Why do we struggle with this knowing the impending threats it presents to our lives?
This book is a practical approach in guiding you on the journey that every human being either plans for or is forced into due to illness and that is, to FIND THEIR FITNESS. Being physically fit is an equation that factors in both exercise and nutrition. Some people are fortunate to master this with no difficulty, others may master one but not the other and still others may find themselves teeter tottering up and down on a rhythm of good intentions and failed efforts. Unfortunately, regardless of our personal struggle, the reality still remains; poor health means poor mental and physical appearance, stamina, sickness, disease, shorter life span and ultimately death. So, are we who are challenged in this area crazy or could the problem be we are not exercising our efforts in a practical or realistic way to ensure long lasting success. Is it just possible that the journey to find our fitness involves much more then adapting to new habits and forcing our will to a bland diets and sweat busting exercises? Is it possible that the journey might be a discovery of learning ourselves, education, spiritual wisdom, faith and discipline? Is it possible that finding your fitness is indeed a journey, a process, something that grows, matures, and evolves over time and not merely a decision overnight? We believe it is the latter, and this book is designed to help you begin your journey in achieving better health for today and years to come... Get the book to read more!
PHYSICAL HEALTH MISSION
We believe our bodies were designed to be the temple of the Holy Spirit therefore, as Jesus cleaned out of the temple those things that were inappropriate, so should we also do with our body the “Temple” of God. There is no question Christ brought salvation and redemption to the spirit of man but what most believers fail to see is that he also brought this redeeming work to our physical bodies. We believe the spirit is to the heart what the mind is to the body. When you renew the spirit you renew the heart – When you renew the mind you renew the body, same message of redemption, yet two arenas.
God’s redeeming message acts as a transparent screen which is laid over the sinful heart and mind so that sin may be identified and overcome by the word of truth (God’s word). When God’s redeeming work is manifested in our spirit we are transformed in our heart. As a result new life begins causing our lives to grow and bear fruit. So it is when God’s redeeming work is manifested in our mind, we are transformed and new life begins in our bodies, causing it to grow and bear fruit of good habits producing health and healing. Keeping within this principle Ministries in the Making sets forth to encourage its members in this truth as well as promote products and services that will support them in practicing this discipline as apart of their lifestyle and call to Christian leadership.
BUSINESS AND PROFESSIONAL MISSION
No doubt every business owner wants to be certain they will succeed and in many cases knowledge, determination and hard work will accomplish this. We believe, as ambassadors of Jesus Christ we have been called to a greater work and whether we believe it or not, God planned it with every need met and for us to prosper and succeed. We believe every believer has a responsibility and a command to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world and God has provided the believer with every means possible in Him to accomplish this.
As a Christian business or ministry leader you have been placed in a leadership role over a collective body of people. This awesome responsibility in many ways reflects the office of Pastoral Ministries. Your role as founder, president or CEO of your business or ministry simply means you are a shepherd over a flock – your staff, clients, customers, followers. We believe every business, church or organization of any kind is a reflection of its leader. Because your spirit of influence is imparted through your vision and God has entrusted his vision under your care, you are held accountable by God for everything that flows out of you and into the lives of others.
Jesus Christ found it more beneficial to lead by example even with all the power and wealth in the world at his disposal. We believe Jesus saw the greater value in his authority was in molding mankind into his image therefore, how much more will he expect the same from Christian leaders, teachers, business owners, roles and industries of influence, even moms and dads? The way you run your business or ministry should be an expression of God in principle and doctrinal truth. Ministries in the Making seeks to be a light in clarifying what these principles are and how they are lived out.
