Meet Our President & Founder

Congratulations and praise the Lord for your courageous step to pursue God’s vision in your life. Yes, I said “God’s Vision.” Whatever your idea, whether ministry or professional, big or small, it is a vision from the Lord. God’s vision has one purpose and one outcome, it will always give him glory and it will always produce life in us and in those it touches.

What you are about to accomplish is nothing typical by any means. It’s not just an idea, it’s not just a business, it’s not just a ministry; etc. it’s a VISION with a PLAN and a PURPOSE. Part of the work in developing your business, ministry or family is to realize:

  1. God gave it to you.
  2. The vision is perfect in origin and has been deposited into YOU, an imperfect vessel.
  3. You have been chosen to govern God’s perfect vision while it filters through you and then into the lives of others.
  4. Your job is to keep the vision “authentic.” by this I mean you must keep the vision just as pure flowing out of you as it was when it was imparted in you.

I’d like to personally welcome you to this ministry and I believe God will finish what he has started in you. As you commit to God and to others in this ministry just like you, God will show up on the front porch of your life and say, “May I Come In?” This process will no doubt challenge your life physically and spiritually.  As you partner with Ministries in the Making we are committed to prayerfully cover you and see God’s vision completed in your life.  So WELCOME, but also get ready to be broken, stretched, discouraged and inspired, challenged and also enhanced, matured and positioned for service while marveled by the infinite love of God over your life to see you succeed.  Not until then are you officially a Ministry in the Making.

Karen Sheri Gaithers

 

BIOGRAPHY

Karen Sheri Gaithers is a born again, spirit filled believer in Jesus Christ.  Although raised in Southern California she now resides in the Central Valley, in Fresno California.  As a strong advocate for family, Karen considers her greatest accomplishments are her three children, Ren, Beth and Hollie of whom she greatly loves and adores.

Karen is an anointed life coach in Christian living and believes her ministry and gifts were ultimately purposed for developing godly leaders for an end times generation. Karen's early days of ministry began in the ministry of music as a choir soloist and a worship singer in her local church. Her singing ministry began to take shape on a more professional level as a studio vocalist for various major recording artist, concerts, as well as serving as a worship arts consultant for local churches.  While an anointed vocalist, Karen is also a gifted songwriter as well.  After receiving her BA degree at Biola University,  Karen felt the need to establish an intercessory prayer group with a few friends to cover her life as she pursued what God was speaking in her heart.  This simple prayer group became the seed that would ultimately birth Ministries in the Making in 1999 and the nonprofit organization in 2007.  Karen's passion for ministry is truly an extension of her heart and is expressed on many different levels. Second to her work with Ministries in the Making International is her love and passion for Messianic Ministry.  Believing that every godly leader is essentially a prophetic watchman for God's people, Karen has spent over 15 years studying and enlightening gentile believer's with the simple, yet prophetic messages of the biblically based Hebraic Festivals.  To no surprise, Karen has also shared her heart for messianic worship through the ministry of  messianic song and dance.

Educationally, Karen is adding even more weight to her work in Christian leadership development. Currently she is completing her graduate studies in Conflict Management and Mediation at Fresno Pacific University with a focus on conflict management in church relations. Furthermore, Karen received her BA degree in Organizational Leadership from Biola University, and a graduate Certificate in Christian Ministry from King's  Seminary in Van Nuys California.
